DENALI CANsmart™ Controller GEN II - Husqvarna Norden 901

Harness the flexibility and intelligence of your North's CANbus electrical system to make accessory installation much easier with the new and improved DENALI CANsmart™ Controller GEN II .

The DENALI CANsmart™ Controller allows for plug-and-play installation and integrated control of up to four accessories to enable dozens of customizable settings directly from your North's switch cluster or CANsmart™ Accessory Manager software can be controlled.

Gen II – More features, more performance, more versatile

Unlike the Gen I CANsmart, all four circuits of the Gen II can deliver a full 10 amps of continuous current and each circuit can be configured to operate any type of accessory. The maximum current draw for the entire device is 30 amps continuously. The Gen II also features a new auxiliary light setting that allows you to modulate your auxiliary lights for additional visibility.

Features

• High/low sync - Adjust low beam and auxiliary lights to switch between a programmable high/low beam position using the factory high beam switch.
• ON/OFF and dimming - Control two sets of lights independently ON/OFF and change the intensity level via your original vehicle's switches.
• Modulate lights - Set the auxiliary headlights to modulation to improve visibility for other drivers.
• Flash to pass - Need to get someone's attention? Press the high beam switch three times and your auxiliary lights will flash three times quickly.
• Plug & Play horn installation - Quickly and easily connect high-performance aftermarket horns like our SoundBomb™ without having to add an additional wiring harness or relay.
• Strobe with horn - When this feature is selected, the CANsmart™ software will automatically turn on your passing or auxiliary lights when you sound the horn. This feature works regardless of whether you have the factory horn or the SoundBomb™ horn installed.
• Deceleration activated “Smart Brake” technology - CANsmart™ measures vehicle speed in real time to activate your auxiliary brake light when braking before you even touch the brake. You can adjust the sensitivity and minimum speed at which the Smart Brake function activates.
• Flashing pattern braking - The CANsmart™ offers four different flashing patterns that make our super bright auxiliary brake lights visible to drivers behind you. You can set the auxiliary brake lights to flash only during hard braking, flash continuously when the brake is applied, or flash four times quickly and then remain constant (California legal flashing frequency).
• Circuit Function Selector - The Circuit Function Selector in the CANsmart software allows you to operate any accessory on any of the four circuits. Click a circuit icon to open the drop-down menu and make your selection from the list of available circuit functions.
• Switched power source - The CANsmart™ offers a universal “accessory” option that allows you to easily get clean switched 12V power. This means that any accessory you plug into this circuit will turn on and off with your ignition.
• Delay timeout - You can also set the accessories in this circuit to have a delayed timeout. This keeps them powered for up to 30 seconds after you turn off your bike.
• Onboard power - The “Accessory” circuit option is ideal for powering your GPS, phone, heated devices or other electronic devices.

Due to variations from the Norden 901 factory wiring harness, the following limitations apply:

• The dimming and ON/OFF functions for auxiliary lights one and two are not available via the bike's factory controls (All dimming and light settings must be configured in CANsmart accessory manager software )
• Day/night intensity is not available
• Indicator circuit function not available.
• Deactivation of the additional headlights with indicator function not available.
• Flashing additional headlights not available as a turn signal function.
• The additional brake light is only activated with the front brake lever

If spontaneous dimming of your additional lighting is important to you, we recommend using ours DialDim lighting control  This allows you to dim and control up to two sets of additional lights during operation. Note that both products can be installed together on your Norden. So a logical setup would be two sets of auxiliary lights on a DialDim, while your horn, brake lights, daytime running lights or other accessories can be powered via CANsmart.
